Perfect Weakness

What a way to start your day with a prayer like this, “God help me to be the weakest man you know”

Most of us would rather be the one with the biggest Scofield Reference Bible with a steel spine and know how to swing it. That would be the best someone that can cut down and beat into smithereens anything that the world can throw at you. So, your morning prayers should be God make me stronger, make me into a warrior in your army, make me a beacon for all to see. Make, make, make, me, me, me … God cannot make us do anything we are full of everything we think we could ever need 2 Peter 1:3-11 puts it out there to see, we just need to make room for it. The man in the tent needs to surrender to Jesus and push out the “make me” and receive the “let me”.

When we believe in Christ we are just a little bit closer to God than the devil our mind and heart needs to give into the divine power of God and let go our power to the point of death. Death is a big weakness, as man we cease to be and out of the stink of sin and death a new life comes and takes hold of the power and knowledge of God.

Once we become part of the body of Christ we have all that we need to resist the devil.  James 4 is a good one to remember man fights against God and wants everything but if we surrender to God he gives us the power to resist. We need to remember that it is not my power but only a gift from God to use.

Surrendering to God makes me the weakest son of man but a prized child of God and he will defend and protect me when I surrender to Him.
