Now I have this idea about how to explain why God put us on this earth if he knows how it is going to end. Think about the best movie you like to watch. You went to see it when it came out in the theater you got it when it came out on VHS you replaced it when the first tape was so ratty you could hardly see the actors. Then the newly mastered digital tape, the director’s cut, then DVD now blue ray … Has the movie changed? Did the good guys loose once? When you see other movies and one of your favorite actors has a part in you compare his acting with your favorite movie. You wonder if you ran into them on the street how would they be.
Our time on this rock could be one of God’s favorite times of the day. Just think for a minute God having a few of his best over for a movie and He picks your name. Now God has burned through hundreds of feet of 16mm film, laser disk, VHS, DVD… you get the picture. Being the only eternal God has seen your life from start to finish more times than we can imagine, but still he is watching. Cheering you along in the best parts and maybe kicking the floor when you totally blow it. Non-the less out of all the lives He could be watching he’s got yours on the big screen. He could be thinking what you are going to say when he sees you face to face.
Yes, God has seen our life before He built the Earth. Yes, He knows who’s in and who’s out, it’s not my job to argue why am I here now when God knows how it’s going to end. To God it is more than in or out. His love for us lets us live our life to see how much he has helped us along the way. The story of our life is more than just a thought in his mind. It is the best movie ever.
